Can you recognize Mormons by sight alone?

A recent study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology shows that people can recognize Mormons just by looking at them. The phenomenon seems most strong in people that are Mormon or live somewhere with a high population of Mormons. People were shown black and white face shots of Mormons and non-Mormons. Mormons in Salt Lake City correctly identified Mormon faces 87% of the time and non-Mormons in Salt lake City correctly identified Mormon faces 83% of the time. They also found that Mormons in the Northeastern USA could identify Mormon faces and that people who had recently read an article about Mormons were better at recognising Mormon faces.
